THE SPEED STRATEGY- A Great Strategy to Achieving Success Quickly
One of the best strategy to succeeding quickly- especially ONLINE is by using THE SPEED STRATEGY.
What is the Speed Strategy Really? Well it is as the name says it is, a strategy based on speed, more accurately your speed in producing the goods of value to your customers and leads.
Now I know it is easier said than done, but I do think that this strategy, with some training, planning and discipline, can really be utilized daily to great effect, and it can really boost your productivity and value creation process many times over.
What are the barriers to The Speed Strategy? Well, as I said before this strategy requires some training and discipline, and you will have to build some “muscles” to execute it consistently.
Based on my experience, many people can’t execute it because they are too perfectionist. They want everything to be perfect before it goes live to their customers and prospects. While in some quarters perfectionism has its value, but in my opinion things don’t have to be perfect before it gets out or else it will really take a long time.
Let me give you an example, let’s just say that you are writing an ebook of 30 pages to sell to your list. If you want the ebook to be perfect, you could:
- proof read it 10 times and still be able to make changes to improve upon it
-add more chapters and illustrations to prove your point better (who knows how long?)
-find better images to make it look more professional (could take 10 hours more)
Well in each turn you are spending so much time before your ebook gets launched. It means that it will take you so much more lag time before you are able to see any return on your time and energy investment. Is that sensible? Not to me…
INSTEAD…..
How about spending that time writing a decent ebook that gives GREAT VALUE to your customers, make it simple, free of spelling error and one that although is not perfect, but it definitely exceeds the value that your customers are paying you for. Maybe then you could save yourself weeks of time and energy, in order to invest in other activities that demands your attention?
DON’T COMPROMISE VALUE AND QUALITY WHILST KEEPING YOUR SPEED
However, there is a caveat, you must not lose the quality and value of the content that you are providing. And its entirely possible to ramp up the speed while still delivering high quality products and services to your customers… Some suggestions:
* Use more EFFICIENT WAYS of doing things (example learning to type faster, be more proficient in certain programs)
*If you’re creating content, how about PLANNING well and maybe create videos instead of ebooks?
*KNOW AREAS OF YOUR PRODUCTS THAT HAS TO BE PERFECT- only certain things that come to mind, for example spelling, links to website, core information and basic stuff that has to be right to look professional in the eyes of your customers
*Keep a To do List/Checklist and a Productivity File on hand, to measure and track your progress consistently and to note the speed of execution
*Reward you and your team for every milestone achieved – Keeps the MOTIVATION level high
*FOCUS ON THE “MEAT” OF THE PRODUCT- This has to be of High value. For example a high value report that delivers super valuable content, but has formatting issues and a few typos will definitely be preferred over a flash looking report with all the bells and whistles but is full of junk rehashed content, filled with fluff.
*Mindset: Its better to create 20 pieces of valuable content rather than 2 pieces of valuable and perfect looking/feeling content.
