Today I’d like to explore a question… A very simple but fundamental question that we could all ponder, if not for interest, for the sake of the business…

So who are you helping in your business? Is it yourself, or your customer?

Who commands the first priority in your business? Is it you , the business or your customers?

You see, although for most of us, although the reason that we had setup a business is to create a sustainable or comfortable living for our family which in essence is a good intention, sometimes the urge to succeed overwhelms us..

And what happens next, especially in the internet marketing world is that we become so obsessed with making the sale, pitching it right, selling to as many people as possible through our affiliate link, that we neglect the fundamentals, the core that makes up the business…

What is the core, you might ask?

Well it is simple. It is to GIVE. Being a Giver. Being a person who commits to Giving Value Upfront, without expecting anything in Return.

The Principle is to HELP Others to Get or achieve what they want…

BUT unfortunately we lose focus of that…

Think about it: is your sales funnel and autoresponder sequence designed to help your customers and subscribers derive the most value and benefit out of you OR is it geared towards making the most sales, even if your customers do not need it?

Would you sacrifice the core, and recommend a high paying product that you know does not benefit your customers, simply because it is going to be launched and the epc is great?

In the long run, you don’t want to sacrifice long term goodwill and profits for short term dollars would you?

If you were following that path, of unceasingly promoting product after product for selfish reasons… Maybe its time to sit down and reevaluate your long term strategy, the core of your business, maybe to even change the perception of your customers towards your service…

Maybe its time to shift the FOCUS towards the customers instead of yourself..

It’s been several weeks since I last posted on this blog, but a quick update on the next series of post that I’m going to be publishing..

You see, I was involved in retail pharmacy management for a time, and over that time I’ve learnt, tested and perfected some tactics, and crafted a strategy to grow the business whilst I was in charge.. In fact, over the course of the year, it grew by a whopping 40% in revenue during the hard times, all by using solid business principles..

What my secret was that after some research and testing I’ve found in particular 7 elements that make up the overall business engine.. and by tweaking each of these separately, it exponentially multiplies in effect and that’s what caused a dramatic increase in the revenues of the business

What I did next was to implement the strategy and tactics to my online business and it has been good… What I found is that the online world is not so different from the offline brick and mortar business world, except that the overheads are lower, easier to automate, and you could work from home…

So stay tuned for this next series.. and hope you enjoy the content that’s coming up!

In this Process Map, I’ve just given you a brief but useful map on how you can start getting powerful links from authority sites. Usually, 1 link from an authority site weighs in more than 100′s of links from small non-authority sites. So in my mind, its definitely worth the time and effort invested in order to get these high powered credible links and do it in the proper way that will benefit the owners of the authority sites, while you also achieve your goal of ranking higher on the search engines..

So be sure to check this free resource out and plug it into your business today…. Also, comment below on your thoughts, ideas and maybe ways on how you would improve or add onto this process map..

It also shows you how I set up my backlinking process to target subpages, main pages and the homepages, as a variety of linking locations would not raise suspicion of your site being a spammer site etc…

I decided to post a series of Process Maps, Blueprints if you will, on how I structure some of the processes in my net marketing business.

They are the same process maps that I have on my files, that I refer to as a step by step process, a compilation of different tactics, employed together to create a whole process. And usually each of these processes are a subcategory of my net marketing strategy, as there are many components that drives a business.

So in this post I’d like to present you with the BLOG LAUNCH PROCESS MAP, one which I have used to create some good blogs on a few of my health related blogs. These takes time to implement, lots of HARD WORK (not gonna deny it) but its satisfying to see it finally benefiting the marketplace while you’re also generating some profit from it.

So be sure to download it, understand it and adapt it to your business use, as I’m sure it will come in handy…

BLOG LAUNCH PROCESS MAP

First, you register your website profile on this site: http://www.google.com/profiles (opens in new window)

What you can do next is to link from that profile page back to your website, using anchor texts..

Example of the page that I’ve created for www.Netmarketingstrategy.com :

http://www.google.com/profiles/netmarketingstrategy

So this little trick gives you a backlink from a PR10 site, the great Google itself! If you haven’t done this yet, I urge you to do this rightaway as this link may carry lots of link juice to your site so you can enjoy the benefits immediately.

Also, be sure to add links to several pages of your site, not just the home page. And also create multiple profile pages for your other niche websites too while you’re at it..

Another cool tip: You can create your profile pages on MSN as well. And other community sites, for that matter.

When I was immersed in creating content for this blog, for the last couple of weeks… this word came to me:

PASSIONATE EXCELLENCE!

So I began to ponder deeper into the meaning of this phrase and thought of how it has helped me create this blog and its contents rather quickly despite having multiple projects going on at the same time…

So let me explain this concept using this illustration…

Let’s begin with your motives to start your business from the ground up.. Is it for money? Do you want INSTANT success and quick fixes? Have you tried to find, high and low for the magic bullet to success without you having to do much work, if any at all? The secret system that all guru’s HAVE that is being kept in the secret society and not let a word to other fellow common marketers?

Well, I have. And I know that following this trail can be painful. Maybe you’re stuck in a rut, a bad job, a hole where you’re miserable and you just want to find instant success and money via a different channel- ONLINE, where everyone is making it…

So what I’m trying to elude to you here are two things, or Mindsets that you may have that’s preventing you from succeeding:

1. Being IMPATIENT- wanting an instant fix to SUCCESS and MONEY right away without much effort

2. WRONG FOCUS- Focus on $ dollars instead of providing real value, insights and solutions to your potential customers.

I will explain why this mindset/strategy is erroneous, based on my experience..

# 1: THERE IS NO REAL PASSION

Yes and it shows. Your leads, and potential customers can smell the dead rat, you’re in for the money, not for them. The results are that you may hire a bunch of writers to write articles just for ranking /SEO purposes, and also to sell to them without conscience, or just being too plain biased. What is your objective? Perhaps MONEY… but the bottomline is that there is no real passion for doing what you do. And you may take shortcuts, compromise on quality, and focusing on how to trap more people into your sales funnel..

You may want your website to run on autopilot all the time without any care for it… again it shows.

#2: BEING TOO CALCULATIVE IN YOUR TIME INVESTMENT

I’ll explain. When you’re just wanting shortcuts, magic bullets and have no real passion for your business or niche, rather just view it as potential money machine, you will be very stingy with your time investment in this. Say for example, if it takes you 50 minutes to create a decent blog post, you may just time yourself, and move on because you are not too passionate about it, you just want to get by, hence there may be no proofreading, no deep research undertaken before you produce your information piece, and probably have no real satisfaction or pride in doing this job… It’s about your return on investment.

I’ve heard John Chow say that, even if his blog doesn’t produce him any money, he will still continue blogging, as that is his real passion. Can you say the same for yours too? Or will you hit the quit button when the going gets tough and you’re not achieving the financial goals that you have set for yourself?

ON THE FLIP SIDE- PASSIONATE EXCELLENCE

I urge you to take a step back and reassess. Imagine if you are involved in a niche that you’re passionate about. Let’s say it is in the weight loss niche.

To begin with, you are NOT getting paid by anyone to do anything nor are you making any sales. It’s just you and your computer and your burning passion about the topic. Wouldn’t you research the BEST Strategies to Lose weight? Wouldn’t you know the deepest needs, fears and desires of someone who’s desperate to lose weight? Wouldn’t you be able to write from your experiences, from the amount of stuff that you read, producing great content that is so valuable as a result of your deep passion for your niche?

When you decide to create your info product- wouldn’t it occur to you that you would want your products reach as many people as possible so that it’s tangible impact of helping the most people lose weight as possible be realized? Would you not spend hours upon hours tweaking your product, website and content so that you deliver great stuff to your customers? And wouldn’t your PASSIONATE EXCELLENCE show?

Now when that happens- expect many to catch on to your FIRE and enthusiasm for your niche- and through your sheer passion and strive for excellence, you will gain much authority, trust and respect in your market, more than you thought possible…

The bottom line is this: Choose a topic/niche/market that you have a passion for and knowledge about, as this would dramatically reduce your learning curve and fast track your way to success considerably, play on your strengths. Put money in its rightful place, BELOW the Priority of being the best problem solver in your market. Your customers will thank you for it.

This strategy can be found through this link here, and is definitely a powerful tool in my marketing arsenal as it puts me as an authority in the niche, and it lends trust from my leads or customers, which makes them much more receptive of my advice and recommendations. Be careful though not to abuse this position of power because if you do, you will find that there may be a lot of refunds and your leads/customers would not trust you nor buy from you in the future.

In addition to that , in this post I would like to focus on 5 factors that motivates a purchase. These factors when used synergistically will definitely increase your conversions many fold, and you’d find that your marketing efforts will become a lot more effective without any extra work on your part.

OFFER BONUSES- Bonuses tips the Value to Price Proposition TO YOUR FAVOR. Psychologically, it makes your prospects feel that they are receiving so much in return for the amount that they had spent with you.

Bonuses that are unique to you and that fills the gaping hole in the product that you are recommending are the bonuses that you ought to offer.

Also, make sure the perceived value of your bonuses outperforms others’ bonuses in your market to gain a competitive edge.

SCARCITY- When the product that you’re recommending is scarce, there is a fear of missing out. Psychologically, your prospects would feel that they would have to take action quickly before the offer sells out or before the valuable bonuses runs out.

URGENCY AND DEADLINES- Urgency and deadlines operate in tandem with scarcity, and generates a fear of missing out, the pain or not having a product that can change their lives because they were too slow to grab it.

Psychologically, your prospects will feel rushed off their feet to purchase your unbelievable offer that is going to be taken down very soon.

SOCIAL PROOF- The general population needs social proof. People are skeptical by nature. They prefer other people to validate what they are about to purchase. Psychologically, your prospects will feel that the offer is a much less risky one when there is proof of its success and results with other people and with the author themselves.

The more testimonials that you present, the better conversions you can achieve.

GUARANTEE- This can be a very important tipping point as this effectively reverses the risk from your customer to you. Customers love no risk offers as they are able to try it for themselves, just to evaluate whether it works or not. Plus with a guarantee, psychologically your prospects will feel that since you are BOLD enough to guarantee your product, then it should be good.

CONCLUSION

To summarise, I would urge you to start adding these 5 factors, along with the consultative recommendation strategy into your marketing efforts, and to use it ethically and only if it truly will benefit and provide value to your customers. With these powerful strategies in place, you will find that you call to action will be much more tempting and harder to refuse than previously, and it could seriously bump up your profits. So take action today, and add these into your sales funnel, you won’t regret it…

Much has been said over the past few years about creating valuable content for your customers. The notion of creating and giving away value much more than you receive has also be passed around. And these are great advice to follow and to build your business model around, but have you ever stopped and thought about what really makes content valuable?

And if the content is valuable, how much value can you tag on it, and how would you determine the true value of your product offerings?

In this blog post I’m going to discuss what constitutes valuable content, and how we can determine the value of our content. And in the second part of this post, I will address the matter of how you can start creating valuable content today to be used in your business to greatly increase your business equity.

HOW TO DETERMINE THE VALUE OF YOUR CONTENT:

1. Uniqueness/Scarcity: How readily available is your content? Is it rehashed or is it unique? Does the content have your brand stamped on it, and thus bringing a higher perceived value or is it largely PLR content that has been slightly modified?

2. Exclusivity: How exclusive is your content? Who would be able to access it? Is it only to a select few of your coaching client because it is a highly privileged information? Or is it FREE content that you have distributed to the masses?

3. Depth of research: How much research and work have you done to uncover the information that is being presented in your content? The more work involved the higher the value should be. Plus you should inform potential buyers of the hard work and resources that has been invested to produce the product/content.

4. Potential Benefits from Consumption: So what are the potential benefits of the product in terms of how much value it can bring your customers? If by buying your content/product your customer would save $5000 off the bat, wouldn’t you conclude that the value of your product is at least half of that? How much would losing 10 pounds in 2 weeks mean to your customer, and how much would they save as compared to paying for conventional diet programs that achieves inferior results? Do the math.

5.Completeness: How complete is the product or content that you’re offering? Is it a full system that your customers could use to achieve results right away? Complete systems/blueprints demand higher price and value.

6. Ease of implementation: How easily can your content be utilized to achieve the desired result? Can they save lots of time, energy and resources by using your products as opposed to your competitors? Is it solid, easily actionable content or one that is full of fluff and useless information?

7. Competition offering: This is a very important one- How much does your competitor charge for a comparable product offering? Always aim to do better than your competition by stacking up more value or having a lower price.

8. Perceived value: Does your content and its packaging look professional? Does it lend itself to a very high perceived value? Does it look like the price that you’re charging for, under priced or overpriced?

9. Timelessness: Is the product a timeless one, and evergreen content that could stand the test of time, not just a fad? Timeless content are usually more valuable.

The combination of all these factors will ultimately lead you to a ballpark figure for the value of your content. However, I strongly believe that you have to use the products that are selling in the marketplace as a yardstick on the actual value that you can price your product, so that there be no nasty surprises, and also use the feedback from your customers to determine the value.

HOW YOU CAN CREATE VALUABLE CONTENT TODAY:

1. Create a proven workable system for overcoming a BIG PROBLEM in your niche: As discussed previously, systems sell really well, especially proven workable systems. Think of how you could Professionally PACKAGE your content into a Easy to Follow and Effective System so that you could get more attention from your marketplace and also sell your content/products for a much higher price.

2. Create Proven solutions to solve a PAIN in your marketplace faster, better or cheaper than your competitors: So if you could come up with solutions that is SUPERIOR to your competition by means of being faster, cheaper, more effective etc, you have a competitive edge, and your products will be more valuable.

3. Have a unique angle that brings extra value in your marketplace: By standing out from the crowd and giving out your own perspective that is fresh, relevant and effective you could carve out a spot for yourself and gain some preeminence in your marketplace. As a result your content will be unique, more valuable and you will have lesser direct competition.

4. Compile a valuable resource of great materials or references for your marketplace (convenience): This is based on convenience as you are taking the time to gather all the valuable, but possibly free resources and compiling them into a guide. Could be a very valuable product if your information was hard to gather in the first place.

5. Stack your products with valuable bonuses and content that is better than your competition and charge equal or less: To do this you are essentially offering more value for lesser price than your competitors. This works well when you’re able to turn the perceived value of your products in your favor.

CONCLUSION

So in this post, hopefully I have given you more clarity on how you are able to judge the value of your content and products and subsequently how to produce valuable content fast. It is my hope that you would take some of these lessons and apply them to your product and content business, in order to consistently produce very valuable products for your customers and to profit hugely from it at the same time. I would appreciate it if you would leave a comment here on your thoughts on this matter and share it with other fellow readers in this blog.

In this blog post we are going to talk about how we could use forums as a great research tool for our target market, and how to use forum marketing to sell to our target market. . This is a very cool lead generating tactic that you can employ. If done properly, this can yield a very significant and very targeted pool of leads for your business. Ones that you could help and sell to again and again, as long as they have an ongoing need for your products and solutions.

Reasons why they are laser targeted? Well its simple, because people who are desperate for solutions and have a very keen interest on particular subject matters hang out at the associated forums, to ask questions, to seek solutions and to find like minded people that share their interest or concerns.

This is my favorite method of research when I’m starting a new niche project, and normally I will still hang in the crowd, just to get the pulse of their conversations and to know my target market better.

Go to Google and type “Your Niche + Forums”. For example, Golf + Forums.

Then you will find on the search results many different forums for your niche. Now if there isn’t a forum for your niche then it could a warning sign for you, because when people are interested in the topics, they usually have many conversations about it and this usually takes place in forums.

Anyway, when you’re in the forums, just have a look at the general way that these popular forums are setup. Notice their general categories and topics. See what generates lots of views and attention. Jot it down.

Next, delve into threads and have a read of these threads.

Now what I would like you to keep a keen eye on is this:

1. What PAIN do they want to get RID of?

2. What Frustrations are they experiencing that need solving?

3. What end results do they want to achieve in their interest?

4. What Problems do they face that are very Painful for them?

5. What are the current solutions to those problems and why they aren’t delivering?

6. What EXTRA VALUE can you give to that Crowd?

I suggest that you participate in those Forums to get further insight. To go a step further, you might want to solve their problems by providing a viable solution and to build their trust, or maybe even recommending a resource for them that could help them.

It’s important to notice the emotions and sensations that your market would want to feel. I can’t stress this enough as this would generate enough emotional power to motivate your prospects into action, whether it is to purchase your product or sign up as your subscriber.

So if you can demonstrate that your offerings could potentially end the very pain that is torturing them, or remove the anxiety and fear that they so desperately want to overcome, then you’re on your way to a great marketing future, no matter your niche or market.

So in any case, I would direct these traffic back to my website or squeeze page where I can built a more solid relationship with the leads and get them on my email marketing campaigns, first to gain value from the information that I freely give, then I could profit from recommending relevant products to them.

A few helpful hints to add here to increase the chances of your success with forum marketing:

1. Have a signature ready that really encourages clicks to redirect your leads to your website, squeeze page or product review site.

2. Make your signature emotionally appealing in order to get the clicks

3. Be very helpful in your interactions with forum members

4. Find out what problems forum members are facing, what emotions they are seeking for and the types of solutions they are looking for and give it to them.

5. Start meaningful threads, that will generate attention or is the hot topic at the moment, and set out to give your best solutions on the thread.

6.Build trust and reputation in the forum, so that you are the go to person for specific needs or topics.
